How I built a CCNA LAB for
~$250.00
Below is a picture of a basic
CCNA lab that I built to help me with pursuing my CCENT and then CCNA.
This has been used for the first 2 Cisco courses in the series of 5
offered at Midlands Technical College, SC. I will update
this page as I make additions to this lab (both the picture and the
spread sheet.)
I am still working on building a LINUX system with 2-NICs and
2-Serial Ports, so you only need 1 PC to do the exercises.
Using LINUX reduces the OS license cost, and almost any 5 or 6 year
old pc should have enough power to set ip addresses and do pings.
|
The lab consists of 2-Cisco 2650
routers, a Cicso 2900 switch, and cables, in a Black Box Rack (see picture)
The Spread Sheet below the picture lists each item, my cost, and where I purchased it.
For any questions please send e-mail to

| PS: (I have some additional cisco
switches, ~20, if anyone needs one in the Columbia, SC area.) |
